WHAT: A NATIONAL CONFERENCE-WORKSHOP ON THE
SYSTEM OF RICE INTENSIFICATION (SRI). This initiative will
include a technical/scientific discussion on SRI practices and results
in the Philippines and is intended to further advance the advocacy
of sustainable rice production systems.

Groups/individuals interested to join are advised
to first express their interest. Those who want to present a paper
may submit the abstracts of their work related to SRI not later
than 15 September 2004. Papers will be pre-assessed for presentation
to the conference-workshop and inclusion to the SRI Sourcebook that
