Progress and Activities

• In 2002, Ann Elyse Merrit, previously an intern with the NGO ECHO which had published an article on SRI in 2001, assisted a government agriculturalist in doing controlled trials. The SRI yield was 7.5 t/ha compared to 1.6 t/ha for traditional practice. We do not know what further work has been done with SRI in Benin.
