The conduct of a PAMB Capability Building workshop
has increased the understanding of the Argao PAMB members
and Secretariat regarding the NIPAS law as well as
its roles and responsibilities as PAMB members. Likewise,
the communication and leadership training conducted has
enhanced their skills on effective communication and leadership
in the management of the resources within the protected
area. Moreover, the exposure trip to the Rajah Sikatuna
Protected Landscape (RSPL) provided them more insights
on their role in the management of a protected area. These
activities has contributed positively as evidenced
by increased participation and involvement of local government units (both
in the barangay and municipal level) in the governance
and management of protected areas under PAMB’s jurisdiction.
